Looking for the traditional experience of having Mate Tea? Then you will need a mate (the vessel) and a bombilla (perforated straw).

These Mates are completely made by hand from a Calabash Gourd. The faux-leather exterior with the "franja Pampa" motive give these mates a very traditional look and feel. Each gourd grows uniquely, no two are the same. Some are bigger, some are smaller. 

Being made of a complete natural fruit the Mate gourd must be cured, to seal the pores, avoid bitterness and cracks. We include instructions in Spanish and English on how to cure and prepare it for the best Mate experience!
