DULCE DE LECHE... South America's best export, the MVP of so many recipes, and the heart of all of our Alfajores cookies. It is widely used and consumed throughout all of South America. In Colombia it is called "arequipe". In Perú, Chile and Bolivia it's called "manjar blanco." In Mexico it's called "cajeta" (made with goat's milk instead of cow's milk). But it really doesn't matter what you call it; dulce de leche is one of those amazing sweets that goes with almost everything! These are the best alfajores I have ever tasted. Hands. Down. They are phenomenal!!!! My husband got a box for Valentine's Day and all the flavors are delicious! I love the original the most. It's outstanding with a hint on lemon flavor that puts it over the top. The other flavors are great too, especially the guava. The cookies are so soft and each one has a ton of dulce de leche. If you are a fan of alfajores, I really think these are the best in the he world. So AMAZING!!!

Lucila's Alfajores are amazing! My wife loves them and I bought the large variety pack for her for Christmas. She was very happy to receive them and we will most likely be buying more in the near future.
I am Argentinian so I will try to be objective, these Alfajores are supreme. Excellent taste, texture, size and packaging. I found them by chance because I wanted some Alfajores before Christmas and the ones coming from Argentina would take too long. Now that I know these Alfajores are from Chicago are going to become my go to. These are at the level of Havanna for sure but different, unic. Very authentic, I am not too kin on anything that does not have dulce de leche but the guava has dulce de leche!! love it, it is just perfect. Highly recommend for connoisseurs or for anyone that likes good quality sweet cookies
